January 2023 Board of Health Meeting
Wednesday, January 18, 2023 - 5:00pm
Attendance: Aaron Langlois, Ariana O’Neill, Diana VanOudenhove
AGENDA
COVID-19 Update : 172 cases in 2022, 9 in December, 8 month to date
Antigen Tests
New Batch arrived exp date 6/2023- 6 cases 90 per box.
Administrative Assistant update:
No known candidates, chair is filling the role temporally, chair will reach out to ask board of selectman to promote
2023-2024 Budget and discussion and vote :
2023: increase part time wages from 3000-5000 ($18.50/hr) increases it from 3 hours to 5 hours.
Aaron moves requesting 5,000 for board of health clerk, Diana Seconds. Board of health stipends remain the same at 2,100 and the expenses at 4500. Total 11,600. All voted in favor. Aaron to submit to board of selectman.
Recent Complaints/Communications
The house at the center of town, the Leicester agent has not had a response from the known owner. Agent to send letter requesting clean up in March and will follow up with BOH.
Crawford Road: Following the Leicester visit no improvements noted on the property. Resting to send in human services director. Chair indicated yes on behalf of the BOH.
Discussion of Shared Services with Leicester as part of State Funding Grant - vote possible
Leicester has communicated with all of the food services businesses about inspections for 2023.
Recycling Day
June 3rd
Will have bags available for clean
Will accept electronics
Will inquire with BOS for best process for payments.
Plans to use funds to get incentives for people who sign up to clean up.
Public Session / Old Business
Competency developed. Moved by Diana to Accept. Aaron seconded. Approved by all
Updated applications: Leicester created and application to operate a food establishments and a temporary food event permit. Move to accept revised permit applications, Diana motion, Aaron second, All in favor. Will be added to website.
Invoices: New requirements for invoices must be printed and placed in accountant mail box.
Permit applications totaling 375 dollars processed by chair and given to treasurer.
Letter received from building commission about a trailer at 833 New Braintree Road.
Noticed received from BOS regarding posting of agendas on town hall
Reminded all members that conflict of interest training needs to be completed.
