Statement:
The
Veterans' Service Department is under the direction of Chapter 115 of the
General Laws of the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts. Local
Veterans' Agents direct the Veterans’ benefits program, which is a joint
program with the Commonwealth and their city or town, to deliver the Veterans’
benefits due qualified Veterans’ and their dependents. The office also assists
and advises Veterans’ and their dependents with questions and applications
concerning federal benefits and obtaining a copy of their discharge papers
(DD214).

Mucha was hired as the part-time Veterans Agent for the Town of Oakham in january 2001. He is a Veteran
himself. You may contact him to set up an appointment. Scheduled appoints will
be held in the Oakham
Town Hall at 2 Coldbrook Road.
In
order to be eligible for benefits from the town you must be a veteran. A
Veteran is defined as a person serving in the military who has spent at least
90 days service deployed during a time of war. This does not include reserves
who have completed basic training or military schooling.
