and will have ongoing events throughout 2012. Please check our website often
for event information along with pictures from the various events.

250th Anniversary Celebration's Next Events
Monday, May 28, 2012 - Memorial Day Events: 8:00 AM Cemetery Services, flags placed at each veteran's gravesites in town. 10:00 AM Memorial Day Parade through the center of town with Quabbin Regional Band and ROTC, Fire/EMS trucks, Little League and other community groups then the speaking program at the gazebo.
Thursday, June 7, 2012 - 6:00 pm - Oakham's Birthday Celebration: At the gazebo in the Center of Oakham. Join us for birthday cake, punch and the first band concert of the season. Senator Stephen Brewer will stop by to say happy birthday. Bring your children for pictures with Oakham's oldest fire truck. The 250th committee and the post office will be selling anniversary envelopes with a cancelation stamp.
Saturday, June 16, 2012 - 12:30 to 4:30 pm - Strawberry Festival: At the Oakham Congregational Church. Musical entertainment throughout the afternoon. Strawberry shortcake, strawberry sundaes and brownie sundaes. The Boy Scouts will be selling hamburgers, hotdogs chips and drinks. A quilt show with quilts of all types, vintage and new will be displayed. A library book reading at Fobes Memorial Library with excerpts from books written over the years by Oakham residents with a little written synopsis on them and also a costumed interpreter reading from the Oakham Herald. The Library will also have a book sale and sea shell exhibit for the summer.
