Welcome to the Town of Oakham's new web site. This web site will help you keep you informed of important town activities and events. This web site is a work in progress and will be continually updated in the coming months. Please feel free to let us know if you have any ideas to help improve this site as it is being developed.

Oakham would like to express a sincere thank you to the Worcester County Sheriff's Office for their efforts and assistance in beautifying our Senior Center. The COA extends its appreciation to Sheriff Lewis Evangelidis, Lt. Steve Hynes and Deputy Mike Mastrorio for meetings our needs and giving great support to our project and to the seniors.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

PUBLIC SAFETY FAIR at the HARDWICK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

SATURDAY JANUARY 21 9am - 1pm

The Quabbin Regional Emergency Health Coalition is sponsoring a Public Safety Fair at the Hardwick Elementary School. Residents of Barre, Hardwick, New Braintree and Oakham can learn about opportunities to help in their community when a disaster strikes.

The American Red Cross will hold shelter training demonstrations, the Central Mass Disaster Animal Response Team will hold a pet sheltering drill and booths will be set up with public safety officials from the Medical Reserve Corp. Worcester, Barre and Hardwick Ambulances Services as well as the Hardwick Fire Department will be on hand to answer questions and offer information.

High School students can earn community service hours by helping at the fair. Contact QRHS nurse's office at maureen.widing@qrsd.org.
